1. STEP-UP
RESTORATION
PROGRAMME
FOR ABUSED AND
UNEMPLOYED WOMEN
We believe in upskilling women to help sustain the home and help provide for their children. Ladies enter our 5-week restoration programme where they are taught to discover their Identity, valuable life skills and receive counselling towards healing.
During the 5 weeks we determine whether the lady needs to be taken into inpatient care and that arrangement is then put into place. Counselling is also offered by our Counselling team. Most of our ladies suffer from past trauma or are in a state of trauma and some have fallen into substance abuse. This all is addressed during their programme. We discuss with the ladies what they would do after completion.
Those that have the ability to do a hard skill is entered into a course and those that need to enter employment gets assisted and motivated.

2. DROP-IN
YOUTH CENTRE
We are an unregistered drop-in centre with the Western Cape Street Children’s Forum and the Department of Social Development.
Youth are our future and our future leaders in society. Many have fallen through the cracks of their transition into adulthood. We run a life skills programmes with the youth and address certain causes which could change their circumstances. Youth that have fallen into substance abuse are sent to youth rehabilitation programmes.
We work closely with the schools in this regard and learners are sent to us via the schools.
2. HOPE (HELP OUR
PEOPLE EAT) FEEDING
PROJECT
Due to poverty and unemployment in the area that we deliver services, we find that the people are hungry.
The participants coming into our programmes are all unemployed and there is a lack of food in the homes. We feed them 2 meals on a daily basis.
We have families who are in need of food parcels and when we get the request, we will look at the circumstances and provide a food parcel. But, we also intervene to get the home into a position of being self-sustainable.

4. FIRST 1000 DAYS
PROGRAMME
We have noticed that the pregnant ladies in the Communities are in need of support and guidance to have a healthy pregnancy and preparation towards the birth process. Once baby is born, they are also in desperate need on how to look after the baby in a healthy and stable environment. Through the programme we address some of these issues.
Aim: To draw alongside vulnerable moms in the First 1000 Days with a holistic approach to supporting and equipping them.
Vision: To make moms in the First 1000 Days feel seen, heard and supported. To build the mothers’ confidence and skills as the key agent of care for their children. To strengthen the nurturing relationship through love, play, and talk.
